Armiger Jagoe is a Prolific Author  who has Entertained and Informed Three Generations of Loyal Readers

Author and Lecturer

Southern Boy

Southern Boy
is  the winner of the 2010 Reviewers Choice Award for Southern Literature. It is Jay Jagoe's account of growing up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the 1920-30s. Even though this beautiful area was devastated by Katrina, in  his 20/20 vision of memory, it still exists.

"
For that reason, it is good to have reconstructed it for my readers and to introduce them to my early family and friends."

Some of the highlights of this memoir are to show how easily Armiger Jagoe glided through the Great Depression  to write of the loving respect between the black and the white people who lived on the Coast.

There are many amusing stories, such as the time his pet opossum came down the stairs and sent our Yankee guests flying out of the house.  As his fortress-type home was destroyed by Katrina, He has finally told of the mystery on the sealed third floor — a secret  withheld for seventy-five years.
